Lorna Kwai Ping SUEN earned her BN and MPH from the University of Sydney and her PhD from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She has been an academic at tertiary institutions in Hong Kong since 1996, and is now the Dean and Professor of the School of Nursing of Tung Wah College, Hong Kong. Besides, Professor Suen is also an active researcher, publishing over 180 scientific articles in international refereed journals/book chapters. She has successfully led many clinical trials that apply auriculotherapy for symptom management and scientific studies related to infection control. She has obtained the Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing (FAAN) and has been recognised by Stanford University’s List of the World’s Top 2% of Scientists in both ‘career’ and ‘single year’ records since 2021. In addition, she also received the ‘International Nurse Researcher Hall of Fame Award 2023’ granted by the Sigma, USA, which is the highest-level award at Sigma given to nurses who have significant contributions to nursing research globally.
