Dr Zheng is an Associate Professor of Chinese Medicine at RMIT University, and a PhD supervisor. She is also an APHRA (Australian Health and Regulation Agency) registered Chinese Medicine practitioner.


Dr Zheng has more than 20 years of experience in conducting clinical research in pain. Due to her international significant track record in pain and acupuncture research, she was invited to contribute to the 4th (2015) and 5th editions (2020) of Acute Pain Management: Scientific Evidence, by the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA) and by the Faculty of Pain Medicine.


Over the last seven years, Dr Zheng has led multidisciplinary teams at RMIT , in collaboration with Northern Health, conducting translational research and implementing acupuncture, Qi Gong and Chinese medicine into the mainstream healthcare in Australia. One example is her successful implementation of acupressure for post-operative nausea and vomiting at a public hospital in Australia. In 2021, Zheng co-founded the cross-disciplinary Eat, Move, Heal Network for Long-COVID.
