Abstract:

Telehealth services are becoming increasingly popular due to the improvements in modern technology, and they provide benefits in convenience and economic efficiency for both the patient and the health care provider. In Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) the doctor-patient interaction plays a crucial role because of traditional diagnostic methods, such as pulse diagnosis. However, also in TCM, telehealth consultations are on the rise. This report aims to summarize insights into TCM telehealthcare treatment approaches, diagnostic processes, logistics, cultural challenges, and the limitations of practicing TCM telehealth over the past 6 years in Germany.
