Dr Wong Hon Foong is a senior lecturer and a registered Chinese Medicine practitioner attached to the International Medical University (IMU), Malaysia. He is also the Programme Director of the Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Chinese Medicine at IMU.

He graduated with a Bachelor of Traditional Chinese Medicine degree from Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2008. He subsequently went to the United Kingdom and obtained a Master of Science degree (with merit) in History of Science, Medicine and Technology from Imperial College London and University College London in 2010. He completed his PhD at Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2019, researching into the six meridians syndrome differentiation in Shang Han Lun (傷寒論).

He was a guest lecturer at Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine between 2019-2021. Currently, he is an associate editor of the Chinese Medicine and Culture journal. His research focuses on the classical literature of Chinese Medicine and its application and translational work, as well as history of Chinese Medicine. To date, he has published 5 articles regarding the historical development of traditional Chinese Medicine in Malaysia.
